Questions We Hear Every Day. Clear Answers.
Is the $95 really everything?
Yes. Your $95 New Patient Visit includes: • Consultation with Dr. Caldero • Neuropathy Evaluation • Your FIRST Neuropathy Treatment • One-on-one discussion of your findings and treatment options Unlike many introductory offers that cover only a consultation, your first treatment is included. If appropriate, you can begin treatment the same day — no need to return for another appointment just to get started. If Dr. Caldero determines that you're not a good candidate for our care, he'll explain his findings and discuss appropriate next steps. $95. One visit. Consultation AND first treatment.
Does insurance cover neuropathy treatment?
In most cases, advanced neuropathy therapies are not covered by health insurance or Medicare. Caldero Chiropractic is a cash-based practice, allowing Dr. Caldero to recommend care based on your individual needs rather than insurance limitations. And don't worry — treatment shouldn't cost you a trip to Europe! We work hard to keep our care affordable because we truly want these therapies to be accessible to as many people as possible. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, HSA and FSA cards. You can also apply for 0% financing.
Will the treatment hurt?
Most patients find our treatments comfortable and relaxing. Your first treatment is usually about 30 minutes and focuses on two important areas: • Nerve Support • Circulation Based on your examination, Dr. Caldero will determine which therapies are most appropriate for you. Treatment may include Hako-Med Horizontal Therapy, Class IV Laser Therapy, Red Light Therapy, PEMF, Shockwave Therapy, or other therapies. Many patients simply relax during their session — and some even fall asleep!
How many treatments will I need?
Every patient is different. Your treatment plan will depend on how long you've had neuropathy, the severity of your symptoms, and your individual needs. Because nerves heal slowly, improvement usually takes time and consistency. Neuropathy that has developed over months or years is unlikely to change after just one or two treatments. Dr. Caldero will explain his findings and recommend a personalized treatment plan designed to give you the best opportunity for improvement.
What causes neuropathy?
Neuropathy can be caused by diabetes, chemotherapy, injuries, vitamin deficiencies, spinal problems, and other conditions. Sometimes, the exact cause is never identified. For a more in-depth explanation of neuropathy, including common causes, symptoms, and treatment options, download our FREE Neuropathy Guide. Dr. Caldero prepared this easy-to-read guide to help you better understand neuropathy and your options before your appointment. Available FREE in English and Spanish.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can schedule directly with our office — no referral is required. Many of our patients have already seen other healthcare providers, undergone testing, tried medications, or completed physical therapy but are still experiencing burning, tingling, numbness, or pain. They're often looking for another approach because neuropathy can affect much more than their feet — it can interfere with walking, sleeping, working, traveling, exercising, and enjoying time with family. No referral. No obligation. Just an opportunity to find out if our approach may be right for you.
I've had neuropathy for years. Can you still help me?
Possibly. Having neuropathy for years doesn't necessarily mean there are no options left to explore. Every patient is different, and Dr. Caldero will evaluate your individual condition to determine whether our approach may be appropriate for you. One story especially meaningful to our family is Dr. Caldero's mother-in-law, Armida. As a diabetic, she developed severe neuropathy and painful heel ulcers. Her family was told that amputation could become necessary if the ulcers did not improve. Dr. Caldero developed an individualized plan for Armida that included advanced therapies, nutritional support, and lifestyle recommendations. Over time, her ulcers healed and she was able to avoid amputation. Armida's experience is her individual story, and results cannot be guaranteed. Your condition, overall health, cause and severity of neuropathy, and other factors can all affect your response to care. If you've been living with neuropathy for years, the first step is simply finding out whether our approach may be appropriate for you.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually very quickly! You don't need a referral, and we do our best to see new patients as soon as possible — usually within the same week or the following. If you're experiencing burning, tingling, numbness, pain, or balance problems, call or text us and we'll find the earliest available appointment. 📞 Call or Text: (626) 241-2420 to speak with our office directly.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Preparing for your visit is easy. Most importantly, write down any questions you have for Dr. Caldero. It's easy to forget what you wanted to ask once you're at your appointment, and we want to make sure all of your questions are answered. If available, you may also bring: • A list of your medications and supplements • Recent blood work or medical reports related to your neuropathy • Written reports from X-rays, MRIs, or EMG/NCV testing Don't have any records? That's perfectly fine. You do not need them to schedule your visit. Wear comfortable clothing and come prepared to spend some one-on-one time with Dr. Caldero discussing your symptoms, concerns, and options. And remember — your $95 New Patient Visit includes your consultation AND first treatment.
